WINEMAKER'S NOTES
A collaboration of four people: Art and Gus Anderson, along with the support of their wives, Elaine and Phyllis. Their friendship dates over 50 years.
Valhalla Vineyard was planted over 20 years ago with a grand cru burgundy clone brought to the United States in the early part of the 20th Century.
Bright and deep ruby in color with a nose of wild strawberry, blackberry and oriental 5-spice. This wine is very Burgundian in flavor with blackberry, plum, raspberry, and earth tones. This wine is full-bodied and rich with a meatiness flavor. The sweet tannins are refined and the acidity carries the wine to a higher level. It will drink well for many years to come. Winner of the prestigious Jefferson Cup. Need we say more !
