2005 ESTATE GROWN LATITUDE 38 NAPA VALLEY

2005 Latitude 38Latitude 38 is a Bordeaux-style blend typical of those from the Pessac. It is a proprietary blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. In keeping with the contention that great wines have a sense of place, Latitude 38 is so named such that if you were to go to Latitude 38 degrees 30 minutes north and Longitude 122 degrees 24 minutes west, you will be in the place - the center of our vineyards.

WINEMAKER'S NOTES
Our Latitude 38 is a Bordeaux-style blend of 58 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, and 10 % Cabernet Franc. Dark ruby/purple in color. It presents an aroma of violets, vanilla, spice, and black fruits. The wine makes a beautiful entry to the palate with black berries, black currant, and plums. It has great depth and concentration with lingering flavors of chocolate as a background to compliment the complex ripe tannins and long lingering finish.
