Latitude 38 is a Bordeaux-style blend typical
of those from the Pessac. It is a
proprietary blend of Cabernet
Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
In keeping with the contention that
great wines have a sense of place,
Latitude 38 is so named such that if you
were to go to Latitude 38 degrees 30
minutes north and Longitude 122
degrees 24 minutes west, you will be in
the place - the center of our vineyards.
2006 ESTATE GROWN LATITUDE 38 NAPA VALLEY
Our 2006 Latitude 38 has a profound nose of creme de cassis, black cherries, and hints of herbs and oak. It is an elegant wine filled with black cherries, cassis, cedar, and herbs with a pure full body, clean and with everything in place. The tannins are supple, smooth, and should help the wine live for 15 to 20 years or more.
