Tasting Notes from
Robert Parker
The Cabernet Sauvignon is outstanding, dark ruby purple with smoky black currant fruit, with medium to full body, ripe tannins and good purity and depth.  It is a beauty to drink over the next 10 to 15 years.

Eagles Trace

All great wines have a sense of place. The French call it terroir - the site, the soil and the climate. The grapes we have been growing here in Conn Valley for over 20 years consistently produce wines with a sense of place .

Eagles Trace Eagles Trace is an extension of the passion I developed for winemaking over more than 35 years, first as a home winemaker and later after studying grape growing and winemaking in the early 1980's at the University of California at Davis.

The name refers to two significant historical themes of the United States. The Eagle became the official National emblem in 1782 when the great seal of the United States was adopted and signified the new country's freedom, strength, and expansion into the future. As the early pioneers expanded westward through the Appalachian Mountains, they found a "trace" or wilderness path through the mountains. Not unlike those early Americans, I set about on a wilderness path to find the way to create one of the world's great wines.
